Richard has been a GP since 1995, and in 1997 founded the National Association of Sessional GPs (NASGP) and is currently its Chief Executive Officer.

In 2002 the NASGP conceived the idea of the 'Locum Support Team' as a means of allowing independent locums GPs to work within a managed environment supported by integrated clinical governance systems and processes.

Being totally convinced by that model, Richard and his colleagues founded Pallant Medical Chambers as the ideal environment within which fully qualified GPs could work as Freelance GPs whilst thriving in a profession heavily dependant upon working in a supportive environment.
